During the event, Nigerian business leader Aliko Dangote announced plans to support two million women through shares in his refinery company. This initiative was revealed during the assembly, highlighting private sector involvement in global development efforts.
In addition, Nigerian economist Tony Elumelu called for a shift from aid to trade in Africa during a fireside chat. His remarks underscored the need for economic transformation and self-reliance in the continent’s development strategy.
